8 IEEE NPSS TRANSNATIONAL COMMITTEE Santa Fe AdCOM Meeting March 2nd, 2012 Student Summer Schools Patrick Le Dû (R8) « I was giving lectures in various summer schools in the past few years and specially last year in Beijing and Ukraine, and realized how this kind of event can be efficient to promote and make our society visible for the future generation of students. –Such 'summer schools' are in great development in the 'news countries' like India, China, Vietnam, Brazil...... –In these events, help of experienced scientists like we have in our society are greatly required and appreciated. –I think that NPSS should not forget this important evolution and have a way to establish some relationship with these schools organizers. « According what you asked for in our last teleconference I contacted again to the possible people to be envolved in the "Summer Courses" in Brasil and Latin America.

Usually they have this courses 2 or 3 days before the meetings. 1.To promote it in Brazil, we can use the Brazilain Physics Society the Brazilian Association of Physicists in Medicine (to get space in the meeting of 2013, this meeting usually happens in May 2012 I can try). 2.To Latin America we could have a space in the next Latina American Association of Medical Physicists meeting in 2013.
