Memory Verse: 1 Timothy 1:17 “ 17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.” BIBLE PASSAGE: Isaiah 9:6 INTRODUCTION: No matter how good, loving and promising a father may be, they can only be with us for some time. They cannot be there for us all the time. They are limited in many ways but thank God for the everlasting father who has come to undo these limitations.

Outlines: 1.WHO IS A FATHER? 2.THE EVERLASTING FATHER

Outline 1: WHO IS A FATHER? A father is a man who raises child/children. A father is one who nurtures, cares, guides and put all necessary machinery in place to ensure a balance growth and development of the child/children. In other words, a father is one who can take the other fellow farer. Every father should be able to take his child or children farer to the point of fulfilling destiny (Genesis 9:23, Genesis 26:3, Genesis 26:15,18,24 Genesis 27:18,26, Genesis 46:5, Psalm 103:13, Matthew 3:9, Luke 3:8)

Outline 2: THE EVERLASTING FATHER In the everlasting Father, our eternal God, man has made up for every good thing he could not get in the earthly father. While other fathers cannot be with us always, the everlasting Father is always with us. While other fathers are subject to death, the everlasting father is not. While other fathers can make mistakes, the everlasting Father cannot. In fact, we are implored to look up to Him being the Author and the Finisher of our faith. Just as the earthly father is said to be one who can take us far, the everlasting father is our Lord who has the capability to take us as far as Heaven.

Outline 2: THE EVERLASTING FATHER The everlasting Father is the Lord Jesus Christ, who has made provision for man to have everlasting life.(John 3:16). The everlasting father is not limited in power, not subject to death, failure or mistakes. He is one who can give hope, life and peace and every blessing of the kingdom - (Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1:21-23, John 3:36, John 10:10, Philippians 2:9, Hebrew 12:2, Matthew 28:18, Revelation 3:7, Matthew 16:19).

CONCLUSION A man is said to be most miserable if he does not have acquaintance with the everlasting Father.(John 3:35-36). This world will come to an end but those with acquaintance to the everlasting Father will live forever with Him in God’s kingdom. Get acquainted to Him today - (Job 22:21).
