All-University Academic Integrity Board (Board or AUAIB): The Board is composed of six faculty or instructional staff (one from each undergraduate academic college), one faculty representative of the library, and two students (one graduate and one undergraduate). … Ordinarily, board hearings should consist of at least seven (7) faculty (at least one of which must have graduate faculty status) and two (2) students.

To the extent practical, during the consideration of a case, the student’s participation in the affected class should continue in order to minimize the impact on the student if he or she is not determined to be responsible for an alleged infraction.. A student is allowed to drop the affected class only in the case of a Level 1 violation, the student does not have any previous academic integrity violations, and the drop occurs before the applicable class drop/withdrawal deadline for the semester.

Academic Integrity Level Three Violation -- 3.0 sanction points for each violation add - Also applies to the third or any subsequent Level Two violation (would apply 3.0 sanction point instead of 2.0 sanction points ). In effect… Three or more Level Two violations for which the student has been found responsible or has admitted responsibility.

Sanctions: add – If the preponderance of the evidence for any Level One violation suggests that the student’s actions were a violation but the student intended to comply with the academic integrity policy, the Board shall issue a ‘Letter of Reprimand’ to the student and can assign 0.00 point or 0.25 point for the violation (as appropriate)

Sanctions: add Note: The AUAIB or, on appeal, the Provost and Chancellor, may impose additional educational sanctions appropriate to the infraction, including, but not limited to, requiring the student to complete additional learning activities regarding academic dishonesty, withdrawal of transcripts or publications, or taking other steps to remedy violations.

Course Retake Opportunities: After two semesters of acceptable performance at the University following the imposition of a penalty, with no student conduct or academic dishonesty infractions and a minimum grade point of 2.0 (undergraduate) and 2.85 (graduate) in graded courses, the student may petition the Office of Academic Integrity and Student Conduct for an opportunity to retake a class failed due to academic dishonesty and have the grade changed (for graded work), for a first offense of any Level One or Level Two violation, or a second offense of a Level One violation. However, retaking a class does not remove the X on the transcript which indicates that a student was found guilty of a violation of academic integrity for that class.
