2 A Brief History 1992 ThaiSarn was established First Thai Social/Scientific, Academic and Research Network Administered and supported by NECTEC About 40 institute members in 1994 1995 ThaiSarn Phase 2 started Initiate SchoolNet project Up to 70 members nation-wide 2 Mbps Link to SiNet, Japan 1996 SchoolNet was officially launched by NECTEC 1997 UniNet was initiated in 1997 2002 ThaiSarn Phase 3 started 2004 ThaiREN (ThaiSarn + UniNet + … )
