What is the HEART? Pear shaped structure About the size of a fist. The heart is a MUSCULAR ORGAN Found in all ANIMALS and HUMANS Pumps BLOOD throughout the BLOOD VESSELS

What is its Function? Supplies the body with oxygenated blood. Each time the heart beats, – it exerts a pressure on the veins and arteries called BLOOD PRESSURE. Has repeated, Rhythmic contractions IT KEEPS US ALIVE!

How to find your Pulse.. Step 1: Hold ONE hand straight out, elbow bent, palm facing up. Place the tips of your INDEX and MIDDLE FINGERS of the other hand under the pocket under your thumb.

Second Step Step 2: Get out your stopwatch. First, take a count of how many pulse beats you feel for 30 seconds.

Third Step Step 3: Multiply the amount of beats by two to calculate your pulse rate per minute. 2
