8. Penicillin I read somewhere about this drug that’s good at fighting infection. It’s called penicillin, and it was discovered by accident a by Dr. Alexander Fleming. Fashion Zoot suits became a new fashion trend –High-waisted and wide-legged (dramatically tighter at the ankles) trousers, plus an oversized jacket with large lapels, these fashion atrocities make people look like caricatures, but it seemed “cool” in the forties.
