Glue, Kick, Bang, Sniff, Huff, Whippets, Poppers Inhalants are often common household products whose vapors are inhaled to achieve an immediate high. Common inhalants: gasoline, nail polish remover, aerosols, propellants, nitrous oxide Short term effects: immediate death, nausea, heart attack, suffocation, vomiting, light headedness, hallucinations Long term effects: brain damage, damage to kidney and liver, Prescription drug abuse occurs when a person uses medication for nonmedical reasons. Because medicine comes from doctors, people believe it is safe Commonly abused prescriptions: pain killers, sedatives, tranquilizers, stimulants Effects: effects of prescription drug abuse vary widely depending on the type of drug.

Once hooked withdrawal symptoms include: Full body pain, insomnia, diarrhea, vomiting, cold flashes with Goosebumps LSD is a potent hallucinogen who’s affects vary widely depending on: user’s mood, environment, dosage, expectations, etc The opium plant can be processed into several opiod drugs such as heroin or morphine

Like other hallucinogens, there is a risk of having a “bad trip” in which hallucinations may appear terrifying and threatening
