Mable Statues Found in Ancient Greek Dig By Reelise (Reese & Elise)
2
About Exploring this ancient tomb led to finding two female marble statues that archeologists are still trying to learn more about. Two headless stone sphinx are positioned at the outer entrance. Fans of ancient history are laying bets on who was buried in the dark heart of a massive marble-walled tomb that is slowly coming to light in northern Greece. The tomb is the largest ever found in northern Greece, a resting place monumental enough for royalty. Some people think Alexander the Great was buried here, yet archeologists are still not sure. A little later in the discovery they found large marble columns sculpted in the shape of women with outstretched arms—that may have been intended to bar intruders from entering the tomb's main room.

Our Opinions Elise: I think they should have explored the tomb completely and shipped the artifacts they found to a museum a place to protect them before telling the world. This could have prevented stealing from the tomb. Reese: I think they should glass off important rooms so the public can see and learn more about Greek history without harming it. I also agree with what Elise said.

Other’s Opinions Other people think they were right to have told the public early because people who study this kind of thing can help figure out who was buried here and what to do with the artifacts found. They also think it was right to have let them know because the public has the right to know the exciting things happening in their world.
