4. A-BUS Ready Technology
Using standard CAT-5 wire, A-BUS systems transmit:
Power
Stereo audio
Status
Infrared control
- right to the amplified keypad.
Harman Kardon uses A-BUS technology to seamlessly integrate audio system into your home, in as many rooms as you choose.
Explain:
CAT 5 wire is the wire normally used for connecting a computer to a network. It contains 4 pairs of twisted cable, enabling to transfer power, audio and status information with only one cable.

13. Connecting A-BUS Second Room Main Room Explain:
This is a simple explanation about how A-BUS is to be connected:
Connect one side of a CAT 5 wire to the A-BUS output on the back of the receiver.
Strip the other end of the cable for 1 cm, and connect the color coded wires to the back of an A-BUS keypad in the second room.
Connect a pair of (in-wall) speakers in the second room to the A-BUS keypad.
