7. Name of Museum Introduction Back to Room 1 The Great Pyramids of Giza contains more than 2 million stone-shaped blocks that averages each weighed two.three metric tons. The Pyramids are made out of limestone blocks and were made to preserve bodies of pharaohs so the pharaohs can be reborn in the afterlife as a god. The Great Pyramids of Giza were built from 2600 to 2500 B.C.E. The Pyramids of Giza stand on the west bank of the Nile River outside the city of Cairo. Khufu and the Egyptians built the Great Pyramids of Giza which took a lot of effort and time to build all of the Great Pyramids. Thieves broke into most pyramids, stole the gold, and Sometimes destroyed the bodies to break and destroy the process of the afterlife. Technology proves that Ancient Egypt’s pyramids were an important part of Ancient Egypt.

First, they were in B.C.E and they managed to build the Great Pyramid of Giza within 20 years of work and managed to haul 20 million stone that each weighed 2.3 metric tons. They used complex strategies to shape the stone blocks and haul the stone blocks all the way to the pyramid. Second, they used tools to make all the stone blocks clear. They used tools to chisel the stone block so it would make a pure white color so it can be an amazing structure. Last, they had to climb the whole pyramid so they can place the last few blocks on top. They climbed up the pyramid and the blocks and kept on going even when one of the builders fell down the pyramid and die. These three topics make the pyramids a great example of technology.
