5  CEES Coordinates Logistics and Maintains Community Partnership Relations Indy Parks and Recreation Central Indiana Land Trust City of Indianapolis – Department of Public Works  Builds Upon CEES Applied Research Program  Projects facilitated by CEES staff and Community Partners  Conduct 16 Projects with Approximately 600 Students each Year

12 1) Go to the Service Learning Web Site: www.cees.iupui.edu/service_learning 2) Follow the links under Current Semester to read descriptions and find maps for each of the service learning projects. 3) Register using the Project Registration link 4) You will receive an automatically generated web confirmation screen listing your registration information. 5) Confirm registration information using Project Confirmation link on Current Semester web site.

13  All students will be placed in the Environmental Service Learning Oncourse Project site after registration Need University Username  You will receive an email notification of enrollment  We will conduct all communication for the program here, including project announcements and updates  Assignments 2 Tab Assumption of Risk Release Form – Submit Before Project  Tests and Surveys Tab End of Project Summary - Submit After Project

14  Participants are taken on a first come basis so please sign up in advance – projects do fill up!  Please only submit online registration information once If you made a mistake, please email cees@iupui.edu with correction  Please only register for one project Unless you are registered for G199  If you need to cancel, please do so in advance via email at cees@iupui.edu or Oncourse Messages in order to reschedule If you do not contact us and do not show up for your scheduled project, you can lose your place in a service learning project

15  You need to complete the entire work day to receive full credit  Project cancellations posted 24 hours before start of work day (when possible) – Oncourse and Web Updates Work day automatically moved to backup date  Wear long pants and closed-toe and closed-heel shoes  Please no guests – registered students only  Please direct questions through Oncourse site

16  G199 – Service Learning in Geology  1 credit  Kara Salazar – Instructor  Students participate in 3 service learning projects and write a 3-5 page paper for credit  Contact cees@iupui.edu for information
