4. How we are going to study Each of the topics that we are going to cover can not be viewed alone. All of science is inter-connected, hence the integrated in the title of this course. The thread that connects all of these topics is energy!

5. How the science is integrated… Each arrow represents an energy transfer of some sort or another. We will spend the rest of the year exploring – each of the spheres, – the energy transfers within the spheres, – the energy transfers between the spheres, – how human activities are influenced by the spheres, and – how human activities influence the spheres.
