SUPPORT SERVICES Organized through support classes, Orientation sessions.

: a)Psychological Support: Adolescence is a difficult transitional phase. The class advisor and school psychologist are available to guarantee the necessary support. If the student suffers from any specific adjustment difficulty, the school psychologist is available for support and regular follow up. She will be in constant communication with the class advisor and parents. SUPPORT SERVICES

b) Academic Support: If your child faces academic difficulties in one or more subjects, reinforcement classes will be offered. His/her advisor or teacher will invite you to a conference to communicate the difficulties and explore possible solutions C) Medical Support: During the year, if any medical condition arises, the administration, school physician and nurse will be in constant communication with you. If your child suffers from any prolonged medical condition, a medical report is required. All confidential information is kept with the administration. How Does IC Prepare its students for University Studies A.SAT 1. 5th & 2 nde Class: At beginning of the year, the students sit for a PSAT exam English teacher trains students for their SAT (1 period per week) 2. 6th & 1ère class: IC in collaberation with AMIDEAST organize SAT sessions in English and Math during the year English teacher trains students for their SAT (1 period per week) 3. Graduating Classes English teacher trains students for their SAT (1 period per week)

How Does IC Prepare its students for University Studies (cont.) B.Career Guidance 1.Mrs. Mona Shbaklo, Dean of Students is responsible for orienting students towards local universities (AUB, LAU, USJ….). Through out the year, guest speakers are invited from the various majors at these universities to give an orientation session about the majors concerned. 2.Mrs. Randa Soubeih, our foriegn colleges councellor is responsible for orienting students towards foreign English speaking universities. She arranges for meetings with speakers from these universities. These orientation sessions are announced on our IC website. 3.Mr Rida Saleh is in charge of university orientation (French speaking ie USJ or other universities abroad )
