2 I am sorry I am not here for the very important first few days of school. I am taking my son Evan to Virginia Military Institute. You may contact me by email with any concerns or questions. I will be in class on Monday.

3 Chemistry Honors is a UC approved course for extra honors credit: A=5, B=4, C=3 Students are required to complete a science fair project and take a cumulative final in June

4 Grades are primarily based on tests, quizzes, homework quizzes, science fair project and lab reports

5 Science Fair Project You will have time in class on Friday to look at possible project ideas

11 The velocity of light is 1.86 X 10 8 mi/hr. The distance of Mercury from the sun is approximately 5.78 X 10 7 km. How many minutes would it take for light from the sun to travel to Mercury?
