All the children who were dying/ill were her patients Evidence shows she knew how to properly use lethal (deadly) drugs Blood samples from children contained Heparin (medicine used to treat and prevent blood clots, can be deadly if overdosed) Jones was fired from her job on September 26, after "finding" a bottle of succinylincholine reported "lost" three weeks earlier, its plastic cap missing, the rubber top pocked with needle marks (succinylincholine is a medicine used to induce muscle relaxation and short-term paralysis). Babies who were very sick became her patients and almost never got better. In fact, they got mysteriously worse and often died.

Ritualism sociology theory because Genene Jones had a “normal” life and successful job. Like in this theory, Genene didn’t really have any goals in life but she still used legitimate means that someone would use. She was not killing these babies to make money or anything, she really had no obvious reason. It was just her “ritual”, so that’s why she falls under the ritual theory.

Now obviously Genene Jones’s crimes can be explained though the story of her childhood. As stated in the biography section, Genene grew up unloved and unwanted. Her father and brother died at a young age, which had to have played a part in her future crimes of killing babies.
