OERs include full courses, course materials, modules, textbooks, Streaming videos, audio, text, software, tools, or techniques Used to support access to knowledge.

Why OER? To benefit society by increasing access to quality educational resources at little or no cost to anyone seeking to learn. To share and leverage scarce educational resources To create more transparency among learning institutions To provide different means of access and reuse, depending on the source of the content.
