6. Sekhmet-God of War Sekhmet was a goddesses The god looked like a woman with the head of a lioness

7. Anubis- God of embalming and the dead This god was in charge of preparing bodies to be mummified This god is of a man with a jackal (dog) for a head

8. Gods Lived in Temples The gods lived in temples either as a statue or as a live animal. For example the city of Thebes worshiped a crocodile. The statues and sacred animals were treated like princes; dressed in golden clothes and fed the best food It was the priests duty to know what food the god liked and when they were happy or sad
