INFORMATION Anubis is the Greek name for a jackal-headed god. He is associated with mummification and the afterlife in ancient Egyptian religion.

DAUGHTER OF ANUBIS Kebechet is the daughter of Anubis. Kebechet was thought to give water to the spirits of the dead while they waited for the mummification process to be complete. She was probably related to mummification where she would fortify the body against corruption, so it would stay fresh for reanimation by the deceased's ka. Kebechet is supposed to be a snake. We could not find an image of her so we used the one off of the encyclopedia.

He is also represented by a full black canid wearing ribbons and holding a flagellum in the crook of its arm.
