Skanska Scholarship Overview −Eligibility: −Students in Junior year in Engineering or Business programs −GPA of at least 3.0 −Citizen or documented permanent resident or United States 2 Skanska USA - 2013 −Benefit: −$3,000 scholarship −12 week paid internship during summer 2014 −Participation in Skanska Young Professionals −Skanska core and project training −Mentorship by Skanska leader

Summary of Internship General Position Summary: The Project Engineer Intern assists and supports the Project Manager, Superintendent and Project Engineer on assigned construction projects with a wide range of duties. The position works under direct supervision, performs routine daily administrative activities and gathers and distributes information. The Project Engineer intern must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and organizational skills. Skanska USA - 2013 3

Summary of Internship Cont. Skanska USA - 2013 4 Major Duties & Responsibilities: −Receive, review, forward and track status of submittals −Initiate, prepare, review, track and distribute RFIs −Assist in management of project permit process −Assist in preparations of bid packages and procurement −Track and inspect material deliveries −Assist in preparation of monthly owner project status reports, as required −Attend project meetings and record meeting minutes −Assist in project close-out −Communicate and enforce Skanska Safety and Health Management Program −Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others Job Skills & Abilities Guidelines: −Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products −Broad understanding of Construction industry −Strong written and verbal communication skills −Basic math/accounting skills −Functions effectively as part of a team −Dependability −Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times −Ability to understand and follow directions −Good time management skills and organizational skills −Ability to read drawings and specifications

Process to Apply for Skanska Scholarship −Send application and transcript to Skanska; deadline is November 1 with an award date of November 15. −Finalists will attend an interview session with representatives of Skanska USA Building Inc. and University of Portland faculty for final determination of scholarship award. −Scholarships are given on a one time basis and are not renewable. −Scholarship winners will be offered a summer internship with Skanska USA Building Inc. −Scholarship funds will be paid to the university, on the student’s behalf, upon award.
