How are the Ed Prep Reform Initiatives Connected--EPAC, NTEP and CEEDAR? CSDE is working in collaboration with IHEs, Alternate Route Programs, and PK-12 District Educators on: Program Approval: Identify our future priorities for evaluating and approving educator preparation programs Data Reporting and Accountability: Identify more consistent and meaningful supply and demand data to inform the public and ed prep providers about productivity and demand, areas for program improvement and areas of accountability Assessment Development: Develop, pilot and implement new assessments to provide important feedback and external data about success of programs Curriculum Reform: Infuse teacher preparation programs with EBP in literacy and writing to lead ALL students to achieve the CCSS

State Goal for the CEEDAR Grant 2013-2017 Design and implementation of pre-service curricula for all TEACHER candidates (special education and non-special education) in order to provide opportunities to learn and demonstrate competency in evidence-based practices to improve core and specialized instruction to support SWD, ELLs and struggling learners reach college- and career-ready (CCR) standards in reading, writing and comprehension skills in argumentation. Take a side of an argument and support it with evidence Compare/contrast the authors perspective, key points/details (Grade 3) Integrate information from two texts on the same topic in order to write or speak about the subject knowledgeably (Grade 4) Analyze texts that address similar topics in order to build knowledge (Grade 9)

6 Scientific Research-Based Interventions (SRBI) All candidates must be trained on SRBI Framework for teaching and learning Evidence Based Practices Instructional interventions/Support For general education, special education prep programs K-12 as well as school leader prep programs I Tiers of Instruction
