2.  Listen to the StoryCorps Interview and take notes  What are the 5 Ws and the H?  What questions are being asked?  Who would be interested in an interview like this?  What surprises you or is interesting about this interview?  Has there ever been a time when your parents disappointed you?  What are some ways someone could connect to this interview? Who’s the audience?

3.  To have a primary source  To include lively language  To see both idea

4.  Stating who made the quote or gave the information  Always say who is speaking

5.  A quote seldom shows the news value of a story  Make sure that the quote is accurate even if it means asking them to repeat themselves

6.  Tag, colon, quotes, caps.  Comma, quotes, tag, period.

7.  When you introduce a new speaker, state the name before the quote so you don’t confuse the readers.
