Registration applications You must send: 1. A completed application form 2. A certified copy of your Birth Certificate 3. Evidence of your qualification 4. Character reference 5. Evidence of insurance 6. Medical report 7. Registration fee

Medical report Please double check that your medical report: 1. Gives your full name 2. Is dated 3. States that it is written either based on: a) 4 years of your medical notes, or b) Either notes or an examination if notes are not available 4. Confirms that you are physically and mentally fit 5. Is signed by a GP, we cannot accept reports signed by someone else at the surgery

Fees The GCC is not able to offer pro-rata fees. The same fee is payable at whatever point in the year you are registered The full fee must be paid before registration is granted Its not possible to pay the initial registration fee by instalments PractisingNon-practising New registration£750£100 Retention£800£100

You may also need to send: Certificate of Good Standing Certificate of Conviction/ Police Report Criminal Record Check Copy of passport Certified translation if any document not in English Naturalisation papers if nationality has changed Certified copies of any change of name documents – such as Marriage Certificate

Processing your application We aim to check your application within 24 hours of its arrival We will look at your documents to make sure they meet our requirements If we need any more information we will email you with details Once you have been registered we will email you with your registration number and start date A letter confirming your registration and certificate will follow by post Provide you with a website user number to sign up to use the GCC website

Retention on the register all Retention applies to all chiropractors registered before 10 November The retention process normally begins in autumn Applications must arrive before 30 November Practising retention fee is £800 for 2014 retention. Non practising is £100 Retention can be completed online

Continuing Professional Development The CPD year runs from 1 September to the end of the following August A full years CPD is 30 hours, 15 hours of which must include learning with others New Registrants must complete 2½ hours of CPD for each full month of the CPD year they are registered

CPD must relate to either: improving the clinical care you give your chiropractic patients; and/or development of the chiropractic profession At least half of your CPD must include learning with others You cannot be retained on the Register unless you have filled in and sent us your CPD record summary You can complete your CPD online
