1 Report on Greek Deities: Hera (Hpa) By Tehya Pugh

2 What is it symbol? The cuckoo, it symbolized Zeus love for her because he was distinguished in cuckoo when he conquered her.

3 What is Hera’s powers? Commanding winds, watching over women, making meanest people sweet and marry.

4 What are Hera’s traits? Vain, Jealous, Brave, Very successful, defender of marriage.

5 Who is her family? Parents: Rhea and Chronus Siblings: Zeus, Hestia, Demeter, Hades, and Poseidon.

6 Short Myth….. Zeus fell in love with Semele and slept with her, promising her anything she wanted, and keeping it all from Hera. But Semele was deceived by Hera into asking Zeus to come to her as he came to Hera during their courtship.

7 Continuous short myth…. So Zeus, unable to refuse her, arrived in her bridal chamber in a chariot with lightning flashes and thunder, and sent a thunderbolt at her.
