Prospective Students: Analysis Benefits to students Consolidated listing of all programs Can get direct contact to individual programs for more information / assistance. Difficulties to students No cohesive interface for comparing programs “Recruit and direct” model means students must navigate through multiple campus websites each with varying degrees of information. No ability to enroll in a program directly Again, the student must navigate the campus website and admissions process, which is non-uniform across the system No ability to register for courses directly Again, the student must navigate the “non-degree seeking” admissions process at each campus. Difficult to calculate the “cost” of a program/course due to the various tuition models in use across the system.
5
Inter-institutional Registration Electronic workflow between registrar’s offices Home campus policies require signatures/paper trail for approvals Student pays tuition at the visited campus Can be incorporated into financial aid package at home campus Student Requests Home Campus Approves Visited Campus Approves Home Campus Acknowledges
6
Inter-Inst. Registration: Analysis Not been widely “advertised” to the student population Average of 107 requests per semester Trending upward Outcomes 28% - Successful registrations 26% - Denied by Home (policy issues) 27% - Denied by Visited (capacity issues) 19% - Cancelled/Dropped Requests per Semester
