WHICH STUDENTS CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE STATE FUNDED REMEDIAL COURSEWORK?  High school seniors at public school districts  ACT sub-score falls within 1-2 points of cut scores for more than one subject area -OR-  ACT sub-score falls with 3 points of cut score in one subject area  All other sub-score scenarios will be on a case-by-case basis  Contact SD DOE for individual student approval

HOW DOES THE REMEDIAL PROGRAM WORK FOR STUDENTS?  Students take an online proctored exam at school  Accuplacer  Tailored coursework is generated in MyFoundationsLab  Online & self-paced  Targets students weaknesses  Supported by certified teacher  Can be counted towards an elective credit for high school graduation  Student takes second proctored Accuplacer  Final score is used to determine placement at post-secondary institutions  Both BOR and TIs accept Accuplacer scores
