10 Budget Outlook

11 Final Summary MACRAO provides many valuable services to colleges/universities, high school counselors, students and the general public The fixed annual expenses for MACRAO (i.e. MTN, Insurance, Executive Committee costs, potential conference losses, etc.) significantly exceed annual revenues (i.e. member dues, interest, possible conference profits) MACRAO is currently fiscally sound but we must start planning now for the future! At the current pace, the outlook for MACRAO indicates the organization will be out of money by 2014

12 Brainstorming Ideas What are some ways MACRAO could explore to raise revenues for the future? Pursue grants? Increase member dues? Sell advertising? Partner with vendors – ad space on web? Sell MACRAO merchandise? Charge user fees? Other? Form an Ad Hoc Committee
