3. What is the CARD? The CARD is a tool used for training needs analysis. A CARD includes : - knowledge - what personnel need to know to perform their job - know-how – what personnel needs to be able to do - personal resources – what attitude / behaviour / personnel need to adopt. The CARD covers all the aspects of a job position or particular assignement : professional skills, military skills, management skills, language proficiency …

4. CARD recipe The CARD is like a cake which requires several cooks, ingredients, specific tools and cooking time. CARD recipe : - cooks : professional training schools, job specialists, language training specialists, - ingredients : time, open-mindness, curiosity, patience - tools : travel card, excel table, a pen (loads of note taking in perspective). - cooking time : from 4 to 6 months.

14. As far as pilot training is concerned, the programme is organized as follows : -Phase 1 : Basic skills -Pahse 2 : Basic + technical skills -Phase 3 : Basic + technical + tactical skills So as to correspond to the steps of the professionnal training.

Language training programmes can be designed differently according to the CARD, the trade, the way professionnal training is organized : For instance :  Transit agents : according to the level of responsibility  Commandos, fire fighters : according to the themes (modular training)  Aircraft technicians, ATCs : from plain to technical language.
