1 Technical Theatre 30 Day Drawing Challenge

2 Day One – Self-Portrait Draw a Self-Portrait. Take your time and really focus on drawing your face in as much detail as possible. DO NOT rush through this exercise just because you don’t think you are a good artist. Every time you sketch you get better. That is the focus of this challenge.

3 Day Two – Favorite Childhood Superhero/Cartoon Character

4 Day Three – An Unfit Means of Travel Be creative Pay attention to detail Pay attention to scale

5 Day Four – Your Favorite Place Focus on details and the overall environment.

6 Day Five An Object in the Room Pick any object in the classroom that has detail to work with. Pencils, Water Bottles, Chairs and Bags are good options. Objects that are one dimensional with no interesting features are NOT good options.

7 Day Six – Something in Your Locker, Purse or Backpack Pick an object that has detail to work with. Lipstick, planners, and coins are good choices. Objects with no details or that are flat are not good choices.

8 Day Seven – A Hybrid Animal Two unlikely animals combined into one. Must be appropriate

9 Day Eight – Your Favorite Candy Draw the wrapper first, and then the candy if you have time. Focus on the logo.

10 Day Nine – Pet You Wish You Had Any pet. Dog, Cat, Horse, etc. Lions, Tigers and Bears – oh my!

11 Day Ten – Your Favorite Food Any food, fruit or vegetable. No beverages.

12 Day Eleven – Inspiration This can be a person, place or thing. Why does this inspire you? Incorporate this into your drawing.

13 Day Twelve – Your Greatest Fear This can be something tangible like a snake or falling, or a feeling such as loss. Draw your fear using words if necessary.

14 Day 13 – Something Red Draw something red. Utilize shadows to give depth and interest to your image. You may use a colored pencil if you have one, but a regular pencil is fine.

15 Day 14 – Illustrate Your Favorite Quote Must be appropriate Make it interesting

16 Day 15 – Something You’ve Always Wanted To Do Think for a minute. What is something you have always wanted to do? What’s holding you back? Must be appropriate

17 Day 16- Favorite Book Character Any book! How do you envision the character?

18 Day 17 – Least Favorite Animated Character Who just gets on your nerves? I will only be mildly offended if you say Mickey Mouse.

19 Day 18 – Your Favorite Car Focus on shape and scale!

20 Day 19 – Favorite Outfit You do not have to draw it on a body, but do need to draw each piece in detail.

21 Day 20 – Your Favorite Childhood Halloween Costume Must be appropriate!

22 Day 21 – Your Halloween Costume for THIS Year Must be school appropriate. If you don’t have a costume, what would you be if you were dressing up?

23 Day 22 – Anything with a Mustache Be creative! Have fun!

24 Day 23 – Favorite Sport Something that represents your favorite sport. Could be sporting equipment, team logo, etc.

25 Day 24 – Dream Vacation Destination Where would you go if you could go anywhere?

26 Day 25 – Fall (Season) What represents Fall to you?

27 Day 26 – Something Orange Draw something orange. Utilize shadows to give depth and interest to your image. You may use a colored pencil if you have one, but a regular pencil is fine.

28 Day 27 – Something You Love Be detailed, & be appropriate

29 Day 28 – Favorite Past-Time Be appropriate and be detailed.

30 Day 29 – Family Picture Draw a picture of your family.

31 Day 30 – Holiday Symbol Can be anything you picture when you think of the holiday season.
