5 Relay Updates No smoking at any beach area. No ECIG allowed at the event. Only service dogs are allowed at the event. Pet will require a collar and leash. You must have papers available for verification. TD will be enforcing compliance with City & County ordinances. We are still working on parking for the event. Keep your eye open for sporadic emails from TD regarding special promotions to earn extra points. June 3 rd – Deadline for Relay For Life Tshirts (Must be registered as a participant and donation of minimum $110.00 credited to your name in our system) July 2 nd – Campsite Selection/ 1 st Bank Night/Pre-Event Survey July 16 th – Last Bank Night (all monies turned in after this date will be credited as a general donation to their team and not the individual) There will be Keiki activities at the event for parents that are bringing their keiki. This is not a baby sitting service. This would be for parents and keiki to interact. ANY monies turned in AFTER the last Bank Night (07/16/13) will be credited as a General Team donation and not towards the individual. 6 Relay Rewards Updates The campsite is a 10x10 square. If you feel you need an additional campsite based on your team size, here is the pre-requisite: If you have more than 15 registered members, you can create a second team with same name and sequential number (ex: ACS; ACS 2; ACS 3). 7 On The Spot Promos This was the 1 st On The Spot Promo assignment: This promo is valid between Sat 04/20/13 – Sat 05/04/13. Create an eye catching sign; use your Facebook page to post it onto the Relay For Life of Magic Island Facebook Page ; encourage your friends and family to visit our event page and “Like” your post. Here are the ways you can win points: 1) The most creative sign will win 10 points. 2) The top 3 teams with the most likes will win 10 points each. 3) If your post hits over 50 likes – you will earn an additional 10 points! Your sign should be in the following format: Go (Your Team Name) Relay For Life of Magic Island 2013 “Like My Status” and I can earn points towards my team goal #rflmagicisland2013 Kulani

8 On The Spot Promos Here was the 2 nd On The Spot Promo assignment: This promo is valid between Sat 05/04/13 – Sat 05/18/13. Take a picture of your Mother’s Day festivities and post it onto the Relay For Life of Magic Island Facebook Page; You should be holding a sign with your team name on it featuring mom. Your caption should read – “Moms LOVE Relay For Life of Magic Island!” with hashtag #rflmagicisland2013. Every team that does so wins 20 points! Facebook: Relay For Life of Magic Island Here was the 3rd On The Spot assignment: This promo is valid between Sat 05/04/13 – Fri 05/31/13. Hold a Luminaria Bag Decorating Party. Take a picture of the event with one team member holding up a sign of your Team Name. Post it to the Relay For Life of Magic Island Twitter Page with hashtag #rflmagicisland2013. Every Team that does so wins 10 points! If you attach a second picture with an up close shot of a Luminaria decorated with your team name – you win an additional 10 points! 9 On The Spot Promos Here was the 4th On The Spot Assignment This promo is valid between Sat 05/11/13 – Wed 06/19/13. If you are a registered 2013 Team for the event and bring in a Brand New Team – you will win 50 points for the referral. You can win an additional 50 points if the New Team Registration is done by Fri 05/31/13. That’s 100 possible points! Any New Team registration between Sat 06/01/13 – Wed 06/19/13 will still be eligible for the original 50 points. 13 Out Of The Box Thinking: Team Member Registration Goal: Enroll and register all team members that will be participating in the event Example 1: Encourage all members to register online. Have a recruitment drive. All members that register within a two week period will earn an entry to a prize Example 2: Not online savy? No problem! Identify team members who are and assign them the task of helping to register those that need assistance Example 3: Having a special event or fundraising event?
