Grains You should make half of your grains whole grains! Whole wheat bread is a good example of a healthy grain Back to pyramid

Fruits Try to eat at least one cup of fruit per day Fruits come in a variety of colors! You know what they say: “An apple a day keeps the doctor away!” Back to pyramid

Oils Oils are fats that become liquid at room temperature There are healthy oils that your body needs – For instance FISH have healthy oil Back to pyramid

Dairy Dairy can help promote bone health Students should drink at least one glass of milk each day Back to pyramid

Meats & Beans Meat and beans contain protein, which helps develop strong bodies At least one ounce of protein is recommended per day Back to pyramid
