Lived on a small farm with both of his parents
He had no siblings; he was an only child.
He went to Phoenix Union Colored High School and graduated with honors!
Soon after he graduated, he was drafted to the U.S army
He then went through many years of college.

He never had any kids.

Emmett’s invention was the detection of Adenosine Triphosphate and Bioluminescence. He also got 14 U.S. patents.

After college, he worked as an instructor at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennesse for three years.

Chappelle joined NASA as a part of the Goddard Space flight center. He retired in 2001.

In conclusion, I learned a lot during this project. I learned to never give up on your dreams. I also learned to put hard work into everything you do and you will succeed. Finally, I learned there are inventions all around that you don’t notice; and once you do, it is awesome knowing something most do not know.
