Citing Text Sources in MLA For a Book: Author last name, first name. Title of Book. City and state where published: Publisher. Year published. Print. For an article from a website: Author last name, first name. “Title of article.” Name of Website. Date published (date, month, year). Web. Date accessed (date, month, year). For a Poem: Author last name, first name. “Title of Poem.” Source or collection name. Publication Date (date, month, year). Page numbers (if applicable). Medium (print, web, etc.).

Citing Other Media in MLA For a Song Artist Name. Song Title. Album or Collection. Record company name. Year released. Medium (vinyl, CD, MP3, etc.) For a Movie Title of movie. Production Company. Year Released. Medium (Film, DVD, VHS, etc.) For an Online Video such as YouTube Creator’s name (last, first). “Title.” On-line video clip. YouTube. Date created (date, month, year). Web. Date accessed (date, month, year).
