Content Objective Students will investigate causes and effects of significant events in U.S. history by identifying recent push- pull factors of Mexican migration to the USA by ranking them in order of importance. IN: Why do people move places?

Push vs Pull Push factors are those factors in Mexico that contributed to displacement and forced migrations Pull factors are those conditions in the United States that attracted Mexicans to the region

Pull Factors USA= Mexico’s neighbor Higher wages to ten times the Mexican daily wage –that’s a lot of cheese USA= will be more stable during Mexican Revolution… it’s coming… it’s almost here…!!!

Immigration Legislation 1. USA restricts immigration from other countries- Japan, China, other European countries. 2. Mexicans were close, cheap, and hard- working.
