Franklin Delano Roosevelt
1933 became the next president of the U.S.A.
Promised to change people for the depression and beat President Hoover. The Change was called, “The New Deal”.
His wife, Eleanor Roosevelt was deeply involved in helping the country.

The New Deal is having a way to combat the depression. He was convinced that the Federal Government needed to play an active role in promoting recovery and providing relief to the Americans.
To help him plan the New Deal, FDR sought the advice of a diverse group of men and women.

The Tennessee's Valley Authority (TVA) built dams in the Tennessee River valley to control floods

The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) to help young men find jobs by replanting forest, built trails, dug irrigation ditches, and fought fires. This help minority groups, Mexicans Americans, and whites.
