International Week 2012, March 19-24, TUT Library Database PUBL The first bibliographic tasks bibliography of the Transactions of Tallinn Polytechnic Institute (1958) bibliographic list of books published by the teaching staff in 1945–1958 (1959) Published articles about Tallinn Polytechnic Institute have been bibliographed since 1976 At present, we generate a database PUBL that includes the publications of TUT staff and about TUT

International Week 2012, March 19-24, TUT Library Database PUBL As of today, there are 46,253 descriptive records in the database Information is currently acquired from various sources: new books in the acquisition department of the library Estonian journals Estonian newspapers Estonian Research Information System (ETIS) the web of TUT, e.g. documentation

International Week 2012, March 19-24, TUT Library Database ISIK contains biographical data of the TUT academic staff launched in the 1960s includes the data of 4,675 persons the database is for in-house use

International Week 2012, March 19-24, TUT Library Database incorporates the following data: name the years worked at TUT the present post – position that the person currently holds department – the unit where the person currently performs his / her tasks the career at TUT other employment the data about the birth and death – date and location education academic degree additional information – other organisational activities, rewards, etc

International Week 2012, March 19-24, TUT Library Database DISS was launched in 1998 and is reaching its final stage A print publication will include the following: master’s theses that were defended at TUT in 1939-1940 The recognitions (renaming) of the so far valid academic degrees in the mid-1940s at the request of TUT documents on granting the teaching staff of TUT academic degrees for their previous research without defending thesis in the mid-1940s candidate’s and doctoral theses that were successfully defended at TUT in 1946–1991, including the theses for which the Higher Evaluation Committee did not grant a diploma (did not grant the approval) doctoral theses defended at TUT in 1992–1999
