Appointment Book The appointment book is the most important record in your salon and spa Paper books should be large enough to hold all of the salon and spa information Computerized appointment books should be backed up at the end of each day The appointment book should have a column for each technician

Appointment Book A phone number should be taken in case the requested technician cannot make it to work for some reason A “T” or an “R” should be used to indicate if the client is a transit/walk-in or a request customer. A diagonal line is drawn through a client’s name when he or she arrives

Employees’ Tip Report Forms Tip report form must be given to all employees Employees are required to state the amount of tips over a specified figure and return the form to you You are required to withhold taxes on that amount from their regular salary checks.

Tax Forms Obtain free forms at any IRS office Three (or more) forms needed include: –federal government –state government –city head tax and/or income tax State sales tax, federal sales tax, and taxes on vending machines may all have to be remitted
