2. What is the Community Revitalization Center and Educational Research Institute? Former home of the Big 10 Ballroom, a major music venue in the City of Tulsa in the early 1950’s and 60’s. Located in a centralized location Restoration of the building is well under way and it is set to open in the Spring of 2016 Will create Jobs, Personal Development, Academic Assistance, Entertainment and a Museum of African American History. Restoration will facilitate an entire revitalization movement that will benefit the citizens of Tulsa and Oklahoma. An opportunity to increase access to services provided to the citizens of Tulsa

3. What are the Goals of the CRC/Educational Research Institute? Increase the amount of social services available to the immediate area as well as the entire City of Tulsa Provide an accessible venue that is safe and will be available for the entire community Engage in research with local educators to enhance their development within the education system Give a historic account of the Big 10 Ballroom as well as the contributions made by African-Americans in the Tulsa and Oklahoma areas Increase Cultural Tourism

4. Cultural or Culture Tourism Cultural tourism (or culture tourism) is the subset of tourism concerned with a country or region's culture, specifically the lifestyle of the people in those geographical areas, the history of those people, their art, architecture, religion(s), and other elements that helped shape their way of life.

5. Funding Goals Our initial fundraising goal was $568,000 to restore the building. That goal has been met with the help of the Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation, the Mary K. Chapman Foundation, the Mabee Foundation, the Tandy Foundation, the Gelvin Foundation, and many corporate and private donors. Phase II is the funding we are requesting from the Vision 2025 tax extension.

Phase II Funding Proposal Develop adjoining 3 acres of land for further expansion of the Community Revitalization Center and Educational Research Institute Complex Expand parking lot and enhance historical reflective area and African American museum Add businesses and new Jobs which will bring tax revenue for the city

7. Why should we receive funding from the Vision 2025 Tax Extension? Because it mitigates growth in the area and the city of Tulsa It will regenerate an area of blight and bring new life to the entire community Opportunities will be created for jobs, tax revenue, and community stabilization Preservation of the Big 10 Ballroom, a significantly historic building in the City of Tulsa Because it generates a positive return on investment of tax-payer dollars Creation of a Cultural Tourism opportunity for the City of Tulsa and the State of Oklahoma

8. Why should we receive funding from the Vision 2025 Tax Extension? It will boost the city and community’s sales tax base Area property value will increase It will influence the creation of more businesses in an area of Tulsa that has a shortage of small business It creates an assessable, safe, healthy atmosphere for receiving social services Safe, productive activities for youth will be available when school is not in session More than $500,000 has already been invested for Phase I of this project by local philanthropists, corporations, and individual donors Because A Pocket Full Of Hope, Inc. has been a well-respected organization for more than fifteen years, most recently having been awarded the Governor’s Arts Award for Community Service and maintaining a 100% high school graduation rate
