2. Storage Store all items at least 18 inches from the ceiling. Items can not be stored in the hallways or outside of exits- like the outside doors of classrooms.

3. Exit Doors and Windows Exit doors and windows in classrooms and other areas cannot be partially blocked with any items preventing the prompt egress from the area in case of emergency. A minimum of 3 feet of unobstructed area must be maintained at these emergency exit doors and windows.

4. Decorative Items Hangings or draperies can not be placed over exit doors or windows. Combustible materials cannot hang from the ceiling. Items cannot hang over fire alarms. Combustible vegetation (hay, straw, corn stalk) cannot be placed in or within 6 feet of the building.
