Art 222 :: Digital Multimedia :: Week 9 :: A In-class Presentation :: mid-term assignment Stock Footage Short Film with DVD interface Purpose/Objective: To work with found elements to construct an original piece of art. To go through the full creative design process for cinematic time-based projects. To consider interface design issues for different media. To integrate the images, motion graphic design, digital video, sound editing, and multimedia authoring software in the creation of a unified multimedia work of art. To effectively defend course work conceptually. Assignment: Use the stock video library footage (OPTIONAL: or use your own footage*) to create a short film with a DVD interface. Conceptually there are no guidelines. The final product can be experimental in nature or thematically abstract (ie. video art, Norman McLaren, etc). or it can be a more traditional narrative (ie. documentary, drama, comedy, etc.) Format: There are two major parts to the assignment: 1.DVD with custom DVD Interface Menu 2.Four downloading web versions of the film to be handed in on a data CD. Quicktime (.mov) Windows Media Player (.wmv) Real Player (.rm) Flash (.swf) due :: 03.13.06
