Four paradigms of science? 1 st – Observation and Experimentation 2 nd – Analytical or Theoretical methods 3 rd – Computational or Simulation driven discovery 4 th – Data-driven discovery.

Currently a big push in the UK to join-up the computing ecosystem (including HPC) – this needed to be an energy efficient computing ecosystem. We could not submit a bid in isolation… 6.
