The Message of Color Color and Symbols: Color and Tempertature:
Red means STOP, yellow means CAUTION, and green means GO! Color and Tempertature: Red, orange, and yellow look like sunlight and fire; therefore they are warm colors. Blues, greens, and violets represent cool temperatures.

Color and Movement: Color and Mood:
Colors can create illusions of movement. Warm colors tend to advance, or move toward you. Cool colors tend to recede, or move away from you. Color and Mood: You may reach for a red or yellow sweater on a dreary day to help brighten your mood. Blues, violets, and greens give a sense of calm and relaxation.
