9. Isaiah 49:15 "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!"

Promises and Protection  Our God keeps His word, His covenant, His promises.  But His people are in Egypt!!  Why didn’t they just move back when they felt like it?  Because they had become a nation of slaves!! Ex 2.23-24; Gen 46.3  God chooses to work through Moses to accomplish His plan of deliverance!

11. Another promise in Gen 12.3  “I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you”  Exodus 7.4-5  In delivering Israel,  God is going to punish those who have been mistreating Abraham’s nation.  This promise has not been nullified!

12. Ex 4.29 Off to a great start!  Then things actually got much worse!!!  Moses’ despair and God’s response  Exodus 5.22-6.8  “Here’s what I will do.”  “Will you believe Me?”  Progress will come:  Not immediate, but definitely certain!!!

13. God’s plan… 10 “Plagues”  Why not just one and done?  Each one reveals God’s superiority over Egypt’s gods. Ex 12.12  Note the Blessing on Israel in that they were ProtectedEx 8.22-23; 9.4  The last plague Ex 11.1-6  Instructions for Israel Ex 12.3-7  The death of a substitute is essential

15. Hosea 4.6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God Dan 11.32b The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits

16. Today we saw another scene in God’s great “plan” of redemption. These ancient events often provide a valuable glimpse or sketch of later facets of that “plan”!

17. Jesus is preparing a new land  It will forever be filled with God’s glory  Numbers 14.21  His spiritual family will live with Him there.  But before sinful men can be adopted into that family,  Someone must deliver them from their bondage to sin.  God the Father chose His Son to do that!!!!!
