Pioneering Science and Technology Office of Science U.S. Department of Energy 2 Change in EGNRET Chair Mr. Andre van Rest retired from US DOE in January 2004. Mr. Harvey Major is now the US lead for APEC activities involving the Expert Group on New and Renewable Energy Technologies and the Expert Group on Energy Efficiency and Conservation. Dr. Cary Bloyd will Chair the EGNRET for the US.

Pioneering Science and Technology Office of Science U.S. Department of Energy 3 EWG 27, March 24-25, 2004 Beijing, China (EWG 26 was held in Seoul, Korea, December 1-5, 2003) The Energy Business Network (EBN) held their 10 th meeting in Hong Kong, China March 18, 2004. In an effort to better link EBN activities with those of the EWG, the EBN will try to send at least one member to each Expert Group meeting and workshop. The EBN held a special workshop on financing the energy infrastructure in Hong Kong, China in March 19, 2004. The EBN attended the Expert Group Chairs meeting
