5 BOARD POLICY By July 1, 2014, all Parents as Teachers affiliated program sites will comply with the National Center’s expectations for replication and model fidelity.

6 Model fidelity Model fidelity: providing services the way the model intends. Model fidelity = positive results (outcomes) Model fidelity: –Structural fidelity = adherence to a “package of services” –Process fidelity = interpersonal elements

7 Why emphasize model fidelity? Replication = consistent implementation Consistent implementation = expected outcomes Consistent implementation = strong brands.

8 Replication: Focus on evidence based practices Critical to replicating quality Combines good research, professional expertise and consideration of family characteristics

9 Why now? Environment calls for outcomes. Funding is tied to outcomes. Funding is tied to particular brands. Model fidelity = outcomes and brand strength PATNC is at work to help you succeed!
