4 Foster healthy cognitive, social- emotional, and physical development. Supports for instruction are inherent in the Instructional Decision Making process which uses multiple strategies to provide supplemental and intensive supports to ensure that children and youth have the full benefit of quality instruction Differentiated Instruction

5 Promote and enhance the involvement of parents and family members in education PTO Booster Club

6 Promote school partnerships with multiple sectors of the community to build linkages and collaborations for youth development services, opportunities, and supports DNR 4-H

7 Promote school-wide environments that ensure the physical and psychological well-being and safety of all children and youth through positive youth development efforts and proactive planning for management of emergencies, crises and follow-up Anti-bacterial foam

8 Promotes opportunities for youth to be engaged in and contribute to their communities Extra Curricular-NHS

9 Enhance the school’s ability to address a variety of transition concerns that confront children, youth and their families Freshman Orientation

12 Supports that all students receive. When there is a strong core, in all content areas, problems are prevented or significantly reduced

13 Supports that are targeted for groups of students. When problems are identified early and supports put in place, positive youth development is promoted and problems can be eliminated or reduced

14 Supports that are individualized by students

15 In your teams, brainstorm a list of learning supports in your building/district

16 Using the Continuum Mapping Tool in your District Self Study Guide, (Page 31) fill in one example for each content area and each level (Your brainstormed list of supports will be helpful)

17 Complete the Continuum Mapping Tool  May be most useful by building  Some color code existing supports/ needed supports Discussion Questions that help you analyze your map Resource Map (page 32) may be helpful
