Key Criteria for a Western States Registry Reporting into multiple initiatives is time consuming and difficult - coordination and streamlining amongst states/governments is needed Early action needs to bear reward: –with governments and communities, and, –through services via registry such as legislative updates or exporting data to other formats &/or registries

Key Criteria for a Western States Registry Must have a way to ensure a level playing field Simple and easy to use database Internationally recognized protocol Easy access to assistance from Registry to quickly deal with issues Build on what already exists

Summary The larger the region the better Ensure credit for early action Ensure international recognition Level playing field Don’t reinvent the wheel
