President Obama was interviewed by what he thought was a friendly media outlet. The reporter asked him why he was not doing more for Africa especially since he is the first African-American President, and he has a half brother living in Kenya. The reporter points that the former President Bush has done more. The reporter points specifically to combating Malaria in Africa. Do Now Part II

Malaria is still a major problem in Africa. President Obama cannot invest money without getting grilled by the American Media for spending our money on another country. The President suggests the US asks for advice about the UN lifting the DDT ban. As advisor to President Obama, your staff is to recommend proceeding or remaining with the ban. Discuss now in groups.
