«DELFE» DELFE: “Distance and Life Long Training for the Deaf people in the E-Commerce and New Technologies Sector via e-Learning Tools” The basic objective of the Leonardo Da Vinci DELFE project is the support of the equal rights of deaf people and of people with hearing impairment for their access and real participation in the professional training and the new professional fields through their training in the use of the continuously developing sectors of e-learning and electronic trade (e-commerce). Special educational material based on the Sign Language of each participating country (Greece, France, Denmark and Cyprus) as well as an e-learning platform were developed towards this goal. The target group was deaf citizens, students, employees, teachers in schools for the hard of hearing as well as teachers in normal schools. «DEDALOS» DEDALOS: “Teaching English as a second language to Deaf people, whose first language is the Sign Language, via e-Learning tools” The basic objective of the Leonardo Da Vinci DEDALOS project is the promotion of the English Language as a second language for the Deaf people. Towards this goal, the e-learning linguistic training method was used as well as innovative instructive material suitably adapted to the needs of deaf people (animation, sign language videos). Special educational material based on the Sign Language of each participating country (Greece, English, Dutch and Swedish) as well as an e-learning platform were developed towards this goal. An expert system was developed for the monitoring and evaluation of the students. «ΕPΕΑΕΚ» URL : http://imm.demokritos.gr/epeaek ΕPΕΑΕΚ: “Improvement of the integration conditions for individuals with multiple disabilities in the educational system” In the framework of the ΕPΕΑΕΚ project a number of seminars were organized in order to train teachers in matters regarding the education of students with multiple disabilities. Moreover, a web portal was developed for the informing and distance training of both the teachers as well as the students with multiple disabilities. This web portal includes an e-learning and e-psychology platform and assures the diffusion of the information to the whole state including the sites where the actual physical training takes place as well as the lifelong training of the teachers in matters regarding the education of people with multiple disabilities. «ΕTSL» URL : http://imm.demokritos.gr/etsl ETSL: “E-Learning for the Teaching of Sign Language” The basic objective of the Leonardo Da Vinci ETSL project is the promotion of the Sign Language for the hearing people and the hearing impaired people who don't know Sign Language. The deliverables of the project were a central information portal and an e-learning environment that act as an information pool- distributor for the Greek, English and Finnish Sign Languages as well as a CD/DVD-ROM dictionary that presents the Sign Languages of the participating Countries. «ΑΜΕΙ» URL : http://imm.demokritos.gr/amei/ AMEI: “A System for the Informing and Education of People with sight disabilities” The goal of the AMEI project was to develop a model web environment which would enable people with various disabilities to access it, for their informing and their education. It was the first portal in Greece for people with sight disabilities and it offered the opportunity to this target group to navigate and have access to web content through the use of specially designed menus which were developed for the magnification of information and graphics, the audio navigation as well as the use of assistive technology (Braille Terminals, Screen Readers κλπ). «SYNERGIA» URL : http://imm.demokritos.gr/synergia SYNERGIA: “Innovation Transfer of the DELFE Project, for the Distance and Lifelong Training of the Deaf People via ICT based Strategies, in e-Business and New Economy” The main purpose of the SYNERGIA project is the provision of distance ICT based, learning to Deaf People, concerning the learning of principles, functions and knowledge about e-commerce, business and economy, in order to acquire knowledge and develop skills for the creation of their own enterprises. It is basically the transfer of the know-how that was developed during the DELFE project to new partners and countries. The e-learning platform is new and comprises new learning material. The partners were from Greece, England & Italy. «ENFORA» URL : http://imm.demokritos.gr/enfora ENFORA: “Innovation Transfer of DEDALOS Project for teaching English as a Second Language to Deaf People whose first language is the Sign Language via E-Learning Tools” The main purpose of the ENFORA project is the provision of distance ICT based, learning to Deaf People and how to use the e-learning as a basic means for their linguistic training of the English Language as a second language. This linguistic training will enforce fighting against the Linguistic exclusion of this special community of people. It is basically the transfer of the know-how that was developed during the DEDALOS project to new partners and countries. The e-learning platform is new and comprises new learning material. The partners were from Greece, Italy, Romania & Sweden.
