Where's the origin of vedda? According to the genesis chronicle of the ‘Mahavansa.’ There's a story of the origin of vedda. Prince Vijaya who came from India the founding father of Sinhalese nation married Kuveni a woman of the indigenous yakkha But later king Vijaya married a princess called Vijaya from India and kuveni had to depart to the place called Samanthakuta (Adams speak in rathnapura district) with her 2 children .

Language of vedda people
The original language of the Veddas is the Vedda language. Today it is used primarily by the interior Veddas of Dambana. Communities, such as Coast Veddas and Anuradhapura Veddas, that do not identify themselves strictly as Veddas also use Vedda language in part for communication during hunting and or for religious chants.

livelihood Veddas were originally hunter gathers. they used bow sand arrows to hunt game, and also gathered wild plants and honey. They do Cultivation, which is called “chena” in Sri Lanka. They cultivate Kurakkan Maize, Yams, gouds and melons. Veddas are famously known for there rich meat diet. They hunt rabbit ,turtle, tortoise, monitor, lizard, wild boar

Geography Geographical isolation – they live in cloistered, exclusive, remote and inhospitable areas such as hills and forests. Backwardness – their livelihood is based on primitive agriculture, a low-value closed economy with a low level of technology that leads to their poverty. They have low levels of literacy and health. Distinctive culture, language and religion – communities have developed their own distinctive culture, language and religion. Shyness of contact – they have a marginal degree of contact with other cultures and people

Who are the Indian tribes?
Santhals tribe Santhals are the third largest tribe in the India there are mostly found in the states of west Bengal, Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand, and Assam. Munda Munda tribe mainly inhabit in the region of Jharkhand, although they are well spread in the states of west Bengal, Chhartisgrh Bhutia Bhutia tribes are of the Tibetan origin. They migrated to Sikkim around 16th century. In the northern part og the Sikkim they are known as the Lachenpas and lachungpas..
