Evaluation By: Linda Bouguila

Evaluation of each stage.

Investigation (1) What I did right: I did a lot of searching concerning my product and the sensors and actuators that will be in this product. I also chose a product that will solve an important problem concerning our community. (problem statement). I also did many sketches concerning the design brief and the design specification. In addition to this, I thought about easy and simple testing methods for my recycling robot, my product.

Investigation (2) What I did wrong: I frankly think that I didn’t do anything wrong concerning my investigation. I also honestly think that I spent a lot of time to make my investigation the best work I can submit. What I can improve: Honestly, I think I can’t improve anything, I just need to continue working as much as I did for all my following projects.

Design (1) What I did right: I gave a lot of my effort to get my design done and I took a lot of time to make my diagrams and sketches. I also always repeated to my partners to make their design done on time, so that I could borrow them.

Design (2) What I did wrong: I think I didn’t explain enough my final design choice. Even though I worked a lot to do my own design, I didn’t explain all my reasons for my final design’s choice. What can I improve: I think I should explain more my reasons for choosing any final design for my next projects.

Plan (1) What I did right: For the plan stage, I think that I put many details and that I did some detailed diagrams. I also spent a lot of time doing some sketches concerning the inner part of my robot showing all the sensors and actuators, both of them connected to the CPU.

Plan (2) What I did wrong: Honestly, I completely forgot the timings and I didn’t do a very detailed evaluation of my plan. What can I improve: I think that for my next projects, I should pay more attention to the criterion and do not forget the timings. I think I should also evaluate my plan in a more detailed way.

Create (1) What I did right: I think I really worked hard with my group (Alla Younis, Aya El-Hussieini) to finish my robot on time, with all the sensors and actuators programmed and connected to the CPU. I also liked this stage, so I gave all my effort to finish my product properly. I was also very motivated.

Create (2) What I did wrong: Frankly, I think that I was a little bossy sometimes, and that I was doing a lot of work. I really regret this. What can I improve: I should split the work equally with my group and try not to be bossy.

Evaluation of my product.

Sense, decide and act (1)

Sense, decide and act (2)

Design specification-Product Of course, my final product doesn’t meet my design specifications because I didn’t have enough time to build a recycling robot, and I didn’t have all the sensors required.

Impact on Society, Life and Environment. (1) I will answer this question as if I built a recycling robot. My recycling robot will help a lot the society, as well as the environment. It will be much easier for the society to recycle, as they will just throw their waste normally in a ‘’garbage robot’’ and the robot will do all the work.

Impact on Society, Life and Environment. It will also help the environment because it will preserve many limited and vital resources. We wouldn’t need to always go and take more resources of our planet, we will just reuse the resources that we already have. My robot will just reduce a lot pollution and make people’s life much easier.

Impact on Society, Life and Environment. Of course, my robot will make people that work in sorting or/and recycling companies lose their work, but this is the only negative point about my product. I also think that my robot will make people get more lazy but, I think that all the machines and robots do this. They just help humans, but sometimes too much.
